Haleem Adil Sheikh handed over to police on three-day physical remand

In a recent development, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi has granted a three-day physical remand for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh, as reported by ZRM News.

Haleem Adil Sheikh, a prominent PTI leader, was brought before the Karachi ATC in connection with a terror case registered at Mubina Police Station. During the proceedings, the court denied his bail request and instead authorized a three-day physical remand in police custody.

It’s worth noting that Haleem Adil Sheikh had faced re-arrest outside the Karachi ATC on August 31, mere hours after an earlier release order had been issued by another ATC. In that instance, the police had sought his physical remand, which was turned down by the ATC, leading to his release.

However, shortly after his release, Sheikh was promptly taken into custody by the Sindh police in connection with a different case related to the May 9 violence. This followed his initial arrest on August 30 when he arrived at the Sindh High Court to seek bail in a vandalism case.
